Rotary Minute

The San Saba Rotary Club met on May 2nd at Pepperbelly's with 16 attendees. President Buck Gilcrease opened the meeting.

Buck introduced Jesse Hunt who represented Mission San Saba. Rotary presented a $1,000 check in contributions towards this summer's home restoration project.

Buck then recognized Marvin Whitt for his continued work with the Cherokee Children’s home and presented him with a $1000 check towards their annual fundraiser.

Celia Bell was our speaker. She introduced us to a local organization called Thinking of You which is a philanthropic Interdenominational Group. This Tuesday, they are hosting an interactive workshop on the art of decluttering. Ms. Mrg Simon of Glenrose will lead the program. The cost is $10 and will be held at the First Methodist Church of San Saba from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Many thanks to our Rotarians who have volunteered for the Cherokee Children’s Fundraiser this past weekend. They volunteered as a photographer, at the Snow Cone Booth, and other positions of support.
