On March 7, 2024, San Saba Elementary hosted their 2nd Annual San Saba Showdown Event. The students performed various line dances, square dances, and Texas two steps to celebrate Texas Independence Day which occurred earlier in the week.

Before the performance the students also participated in Texas-themed activities like corn-hole, horse relays, and a 'cattle drive' relay.

A small group of students traveled to San Saba Nursing and Rehab to perform their dances for the residents as well!

This event is becoming a student favorite and we are so thankful to celebrate our Texas heritage with our community.
