It’s playoff time for Coyote friends, fans, and family in Richland Springs. The varsity football defeated Rochelle 68-0 to advance to the next level. The varsity volleyball ladies are headed to the playoffs, and cross-country is headed to state. If you want to order a football playoff shirt, orders will close at 12 noon on Friday, November 3.

Congratulations to the junior high football and the junior high volleyball teams. They are district champions. Way to go, junior high Coyotes.

The following games will be played this week: Monday Varsity volleyball against Mullin @ Dublin.

Friday is the big day for Rylie Eckert. She is ranked number two in the state and will be competing in Round Rock. Our very best wishes go with her on this incredible exciting journey. She has worked hard to earn this honor.

The football team has a bye this week. Keep your eyes and ears open for their next game location and time.

The Fall Festival was moved due to the weather conditions. It was held on Tuesday the 31st. I, for one, did not go out trick or treating in this miserable weather. I do thank God for the 4.5 inches of rain that will help my oak trees survive.

Please be aware the pipeline crews are preparing the way for work north of town on FM 45. There will be traffic stoppages and slowdowns as they work their way across country.

We are just a few weeks away from the Christmas Market. Chrissy and I are still working on the bank building, but those lovely rains did some damage to our little space. We haven’t given up, but we’re having to make some adjustments to overcome the structural issues. I’m excited to finish and use this space, but I must admit it hasn’t been easy going. Meanwhile, Chrissy is battening down the Garden House to protect her baby plants from this cold spell. Texas is such an amazing state, shorts one day and sweats the next. We don’t put away clothes here; our wardrobes are yearround to be used as the weather changes.

The Community Thanksgiving Lunch will be held November 23, at noon in the Community Center. This event is open to all in the community who may be alone, far from family, or in need. Everyone is welcome to join us for Thanksgiving Lunch. Thanksgiving is a time to enjoy those around us and be thankful for the many ways the Lord has blessed us. We want to share those blessings with our community. If you know someone who can't get out, let us know, and we'll deliver a meal to them. For more information, please call Chris or Kristy Perry. Chris Perry 325-372-8621 or Kristy Perry 325-372-8622.

Prayers are needed for the many sick in our community. As we enter the holiday season, please remember those families who have lost loved ones. This happy season will be painful and sad for many of them. For those of you asking about Johnny Reeves, this week was not his best week. Those treatments are not kind. Please pray for our border and those who are entering illegally. We stand with Israel against terrorists and pray for the Palestinian people caught in the crossfire. Pray for our leadership that they may stand strong and protect our country. Most of all, pray for our precious troops and their families.
