Terry Lee Thornton, born March 17, 1967, set out on his final journey on April 29, 2024, leaving behind a legacy filled with warmth and kindness, storytelling, and a deep love for his family and the great outdoors. He was the son of Johnnie 'Cotton' and Jeannean Thornton and a cherished brother to Dale and Cristy Thornton.

Lawrence Elton “Doc” Fisher III

As the sun rose on the morning of May 8, 2024, Lawrence Elton “Doc” Fisher III went to meet the Lord. Doc was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on January 14, 1952, to Lawrence Elton Fisher Jr. He married the love of his life, Barbara Greer, on June 14, 1995, and shared 31 blissful years together. Doc had many hobbies that he enjoyed doing like welding metal art, woodwork, barbecuing, being on his old John Deere tractor; however, most of all he loved a good joke. Doc served on the Richland Springs Volunteer Fire Department for 21 years; six of those years he served as Assistant Chief.

Mary Frances Herrington

Mary Frances Herrington of San Saba, Texas, peacefully passed into the presence of Jesus Christ on April 26, 2024. Her family and friends rejoice that her steadfast faith sustained her and that her earthly struggles have come to an end.

Mike Fitzgerald

Mike Fitzgerald, 78, of San Saba, Texas, passed away at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas, on April 26, 2024. Visitation for Mike will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at China Creek Cemetery followed by the Graveside service at 11:00 a.m. and will be officiated by Pastor James Jones. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba.

Damon Herman Bush

to Kerrville, Texas, where he worked on the YO Ranch for about six months. While visiting his brother in Milano, Texas, in 1959, he met the love of his life Martha Morgan. Seven months later, they married on Christmas Eve. After the ceremony, nothing was open, so they bought some summer sausage, cheese and crackers to enjoy as their first meal as a married couple, a Christmas Eve tradition the family has kept ever since. After the birth of their first daughter, Kay, in 1961, they moved to the Gibbons Ranch in Richland Springs, Texas. The Gibbons Ranch became their lifelong home after bringing home their daughter ,Vicki, in 1968. In 1985, Damon got his favorite title, PaPa, after the birth of his first grandson, Bret. Over the years, Damon and Martha continued to welcome more grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 2009, surrounded by the family they built, they celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Billy Joe Higginbotham, 91, of Richland Springs, Texas, passed away at the Pecan Bayou Nursing and Rehabilitation on April 08, 2024. His wishes were to be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba.
