MOE 5/6 “Three-Peat” at “Above the Rim Classic”

After winning “Above The Rim Classic” tournament championships in 2022 and 2023, MOE (30-2) traveled to Georgetown, Texas, on Saturday, April 20, to take part in the 2024 version of the annual tournament.

In the first round, MOE defeated a very talented Austin Lady Magic 111 team, 27-18. The second round game was a match up against the top team in the tournament, a very big and talented Waxahachie Dream Team.

It was an instant classic as both teams traded baskets the entire game, with MOE hitting key free throws down the stretch to pull out an exciting 48-44 win. MOE would seal the tournament championship in the third round as they would defeat ALM 112, 35-16, and claim their third consecutive “Above The Rim” championship. With the win, MOE hit the 30 win mark for the season, including their “fifth” consecutive tournament championship of the year, “sixth” championship overall.
