MOE 7th/8th girls win 3rd consecutive Tournament Championship

MOE 7th/8th (9-0) picked up their 3rd consecutive tournament championship by winning the 8th Grade Girls Division of the 2022 “Stars & Stripes” basketball tournament held on Saturday, May 28, at the Round Rock Sports Center in Round Rock, Texas. MOE had wins over San Antonio Lady Hoops 29-23 and the Austin Lady Magic 37-21, to advance to the tournament championship and set up a very interesting match up against a very talented San Antonio Pro Skills team which had drawn the attention of a couple of college scouts to watch their top player. MOE would jump out to an 8-0 lead to start the game and then add another 8-0 run at the beginning of the second half to pull away and pick up an impressive 40-19 win and their third consecutive tournament championship of the year, and their seventh consecutive championship spanning over the last two seasons.
