George Hill entered this life on March 4, 1942, in Decatur, Illinois, while his dad, George Hill Sr., was in the Pacific Theater during World War II. His mother was Essie Lavena Justice. George has four sisters: Cheryl, Carol, Joyce, and Karen.

George joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Sam in San Antonio where he met his first wife Eve. They have three children: Tammy Hill and husband Al Fosten, LaDawn Hill and husband Robert Lawson, and Thad and wife Susan Laitenen.

George worked for the Wabash and Southern Pacific Railroads and then taught high school vocational classes in San Antonio.

He had four grandchildren: Austin Hill, Elizabeth Lawson, Jasmine Hill and Tristan Hill.

George was baptized in a creek by his uncle in Decatur. He loved his Lord and loved telling people about his Jesus and encouraging people to go to church. He hated missing church. He loved people and found his happy place in Richland with so many friends. He loved teasing and talking to people. He loved his wife, Donna, of 34 years and told her every day. He enjoyed working with his hands and helping others.

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Richland Springs First Baptist Church with Pastor Mack Elkin officiating. Private Interment.
